AmeriCorps Leaders (Direct Service): Work directly with underserved K-12 youth through mentoring, normalizing college going, and increasing student success and college access. Your service will enrich the lives of those you serve and leave lasting impacts on these students, families and Montana communities as well as help to alleviate poverty through attaining higher education.

Billings

Rocky Mountain College, AmeriCorps Leader The AmeriCorps will support a team of AmeriCorps Team Members at Rocky Mountain College. The team will engage in one on one mentoring through the Bears and Cubs and will enhance the programming to focus on college access using college student mentors. AmeriCorps team will focus on the College’s initiatives towards improving College Access, College Positive Mentoring and K-12 Student Success. Through our partnership with Rose Park Elementary School we hope to inspire children of all grade levels and socio-economic backgrounds to graduate and pursue their dreams. The AmeriCorps team will provide various opportunities for Rocky students to mentor and inspire elementary age students while learning about the value of civic engagement. The team will support the identified needs of the elementary school by providing mentors; as well as activities with various academic programs; food pantry and personal hygiene product support.
