Background

Project proposals are now being accepted from organizations interested in hosting one or more AmeriCorps VISTA members during the 2023 summer service term. These ten-week long projects are scheduled to take place from June 5, 2023 through August 13, 2023. MTCC AmeriCorps places national service members with Montana schools, colleges, nonprofits, and government agencies in order to build organizational capacity, address summer learning loss, and increase food security among low-income individuals. The MTCC AmeriCorps priority areas are: College Access & Success, K-12 Success or School Readiness, Community Resilience (including climate resilience), and Veterans & Military Families.

Timeline

Deadline to propose projects	April 21, 2023
Recruitment period for AmeriCorps members	April 21, 2023 – May 7, 2023
Recruitment deadline	May 7, 2023 (Service sites must send all accepted candidates to MTCC on or before* this date)*
Enrollment period	ASAP – June 4, 2023 (MTCC works to move candidates through the AmeriCorps enrollment process)
Project Period	June 5, 2023 – August 11, 2023

Complete your Summer AmeriCorps Project Proposal online.
- Your proposal will be completed via Submittable. If you have not used Submittable before, you will be prompted to create an account when you first access the link above.
After submitting your proposal, we will review it and contact you if there is need for clarification, or to request modifications to align the project with AmeriCorps regulations and the MTCC mission.
Projects that are found to meet AmeriCorps regulations and to align with the MTCC mission will receive notification of their approval.
To finalize the project, you will sign and submit an MOU following the approval of your proposal.
