Montana Campus Compact is happy to offer short-term AmeriCorps opportunities in the summer, as well as options for college students to complete part-time AmeriCorps service while in school. Read the information below, and then take some time to learn more about the positions that interest you.
Part-Time and Summer Opportunities
Summer members commit to completing 10 weeks of full-time AmeriCorps service during the months of June, July, and August. Positions focus on hands-on service with students to address learning loss and food insecurity during the out-of-school period. Projects are frequently related to summer camps and meal programs offered by libraries, food banks, Boys & Girls clubs, museums, and other nonprofits. College members commit to completing either 300 or 450 hours of part-time AmeriCorps service during a semester or full academic year. Positions focus on academic support and near-peer mentorship for high school and college students, and can include homework help, college application help, test prep, and other hands-on education activities. Projects are frequently associated with local high schools, college food pantries, TRIO offices, and Upward Bound programs.
